Dell XPS 10 Windows 8 Tablet with keyboard dock


IFA Event at Berlin, Dell showing off its first Windows RT tablet and will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 ARM-based CPU. Dell gone easy on the details and information for this device, saying little more in its statement than the XPS will features “long battery life”, embodies the intersection between work and play with intuitive touch capability and mobile keyboard dock for enhanced content creation and businesses productivity.


Dell XPS 10 sport a 10 inch tablet built to support WindowsRT slate with detachable keyboard slice. Provides end-to-end technology solutions using ARM processor architecture and WindowsRT OS means businesses can be assured that they will be able to manage and secure the XPS 10 on their network. Dell promises that this tablet will be able to runs for up to 20 hours on a single full charge when you use the tablet with the keyboard dock.

Dell's Sam Burd called the Dell XPS 10 and “outstanding companion device” and is thinner, lighter and more like a tablet you'd buy for actually using a tablet. Although it just 10mm thick, there's both microUSB and microSD slot connectivity and the mechanism uses a single locker-slider and proved a little tricky on the per-production models. Dell says that will be addressed by the time the XPS 10 hits the market and it's a lightweight way to browse, view video, and use basic pre-installed and to be installed apps.

As what other Windows 8 devices, Dell is expected to launch the XPS 10 tablet in late October when Windows 8 and Windows rt releases.
