BlackBerry Curve 9920 and BlackBerry Curve 9320 |
RIM- Research in Motion introduced a new pair of BlackBerry smartphone – the Curve 9320 and 9920 are the company's latest and most affordable smartphone of BlackBerry 7-based smartphones to date. A key new features found on the new curves is the dedicated BBM key which provides instant access to RIM's popular mobile social messaging service and social-centric features that keep people connected and offers global 3G connectivity, according to RIM statement. Facebook for BlackBerry and Twitter for BlackBerry apps is alos come in pre-installed, along with Social Feeds 2.0 content aggregation.
While BlackBerry has been busy pumping out impressive touchscreen handset such as BlackBerry Bold 9780 and BlackBerry 9900, its keen to make sure it doesn't alienate those who would be drawn in by its cheaper – yet just as cheerful – curve range of smartphone. BlackBerry Curve 9320 looks like a Curve of ancient. It's sleek with both black and brushed metal tones and has a curve back, which really fits in the hand well almost as though it's been molded with that in mind. While Curve 9220 is quite different look, it comes with metallic bezel on top and the bottom with curved edges. The Curve 9320 supports HSDPA data speed of up to 7.2Mbps and also offers WiFi supports.

Curve 9320 features a 2.4-inch display that supports 320x240 pixel resolution, it houses a 512MB ROM and 512MB RAM to make the BlackBerry 7.1 OS run smoothly on it. The 164 ppi density won't blind you with its greatness, but it does the job reasonably well. We used to view this as amazing on devices of old. The BlackBerry Curve 9320 isn't touchscreen capability but you do get RIM's signature optical track-pad beneath it to navigate. This is surrounded by the four standard BlackBerry buttons (call, menu, back and hang up) and they are all mechanical rather than the touch-sensitive devices.
