Samsung Ativ Tab powered by Window 8 OS officially announced


Samsung has new series of products based on Windows 8 which other giant manufacturer had first having for the announcement. Intel has given attendees at its IDF 2012 conference in Beijing to showcase their upcoming laptop-tablet hybrid ultrabook runs on Windows 8 based device.

This hybrid ultrabook has a codenamed 'Letexo', the prototype device runs on Windows 8 with Microsoft's Metro interface was presented with the ability to transform between a tablet, all-in-one PC and Ultrabook in one device.

The hybrid ultrabook appear to have kept the laptop design, offering two USB ports and HDMI input port and has a largely screen that slides over the keyboard and trackpad. ACER's newest Windows 8 Tablets – ACER Iconia W700 and ACER Iconia W510 announced

Acer ICONIA W510 tablet comes with 10.1-inch IPS display. A detachable keyboard extends the battery life up to 18 hours. This tablet has a speaker on both side. The ports available are a docking ports, microUSB port, HDMI port , as well as an audio jack. According to ASUS, W510 can be utilized in tri-mode, which can allow users to touch, type and view. Users can rotate the keyboard dock around to use in presentation mode, similar to what Crux has offered with its cases for the iPad in the past. The multipurpose cradle can be adjusted for several viewing angle at 70 degrees for optimal viewing or at 20 degrees for typing and using the slate. On the back, there is a 5-MegaPixel camera. This tablet also front-facing camera on the front. The models is manufactured from aluminium but Acer has placed a material on the back to stop the tablets from slipping on smooth surfaces.
No word on pricing or availability just yet, but presumably it will be launching after Microsoft has officially announced the availability of their newest version of Windows Operating System, the Windows 8.
