On 23/07/1972, Landsat I satellite was officially launched into orbit with a mission to collect images of areas on earth. After 40 years there were seven more satellites of long-term research program was put into the sky. Landsat satellites have worked tirelessly and continuously to complete the whole picture of the Earth's surface every 16 days per cycle. Its data has provided scientists an overview of the ongoing changes in recent years due to climate, weather, and human impact.
