Asus Transformer Pad Infinity will actually be available in two configuration – a Wi-Fi model, powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 T33 quad-core 1.6GHz processor or $G/LTE/3G/Wi-Fi variant with a Qualcomm MSM 8960 Snapdragon S4 krait dual-core 1.5GHz processor. Packs with 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 Full HD Super IPS+ display with 600 nit of brightness (strengthened with Corning Gorilla Glass 2) in typically hyperbolic marketing fashion.
Interestingly, Asus has made pre-conference breifing ommitted the physical size of the screen, while that might suggest it's something other than the same 10.1-inches as the company's other Transformer offering, pictures suggest it remains the same.it looks that the Pad's precedecessor showed a very capable Android tablet, especially when paired with the keyboard dock, enjoying the performance, portability and long run-time between charges.
With the new hardware upgrades, the Pad appear even more capable and few reviewers have already had their first looks. True to the Transformer name, the infinity will have any accompanying dock that adds both a keyboard and extra battery life. With the internal 25Wh battery plus the 22Wh battery in the dock, the company claims the Infinity will deliver 16hour of battery life, or 10 hour without.
Sport in a slim 8.5mm design, 1GB of RAM, an 8Megapixel rear-facing camera (F2.2 aperture, 5-element lens, LED flash), 2Megapixel front-facing camera, 16/32/64GB of Storage options and runs with Google's Andriod 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Asus Transformer Pad Infinity tablet will be available next month along with the pre-confuiguration price such as $499 with 32G of storage and $599 at 64GB of storage capacity. Like the old Transformer Prime tablets, an additional cost for its docking keyboard and mouse-pad which is cost at $149 separately with has additional ports and up to 5-6 hour of battery life. If you've already decided you do like Android on tablets, the Infinity seems like a pretty nice piece of hardware for those that don't mind spending half a grand on the tablet.
