Maybe RIM will sell cloud computing services NewBay to save operating costs
News from The Wall Street Journal said RIM is considering the possibility of selling cloud services to accomplish NewBay savings target of $ 1 billion in operating expenses this year. It is known that in October last year, BlackBerry maker NewBay Software acquired for $ 100 million U.S. dollars to implement plans for online services branded cloud platform to compete with RIM and Apple iCloud Amazon Cloud Drive. Up to now, NewBay is more than 80 million subscribers from the major networks (Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom, AT & T, Verizon) use data management platform technology application of its cloud for storage , sharing photos, video or some type of other multimedia entertainment. The RIM has not released any comment on this issue.   According to information recently received, RIM will start restructuring plan by conducting company fired 3,000 employees (about 18% of more than 16,000 employees) in the coming weeks and 2,000 personnel will be required next to resign later this year.   Source: WSJ, SlashGear
