ZTE has recently announced that thier ZTE N880E will upgrade its plaform from Google Android Gingerbread to the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. This phone will be the first phone to shipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box in Chinese market. And ZTE N880E is the third smartphone worldwide to get Jelly Bean upgrade, following its release on the Samsung Galazy Nexus shorlty aftre software debut. According to ZTE, the handset runs the Google Experience version Jelly Bean, which comes without third party modifications.
ZTE N880E sports with a 4-inch WVGA capacitive multitouch screen panel with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM72627A processor, 4GB of internal storage can expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot, 512MB of RAM and standard Li-Ion 2600mAh battery pack.
ZTE N880E looks like a mid-range smartphone in terms of specification, but Jelly Bean update should make it run smoother, improve performance and more responsiveness than ever before. It measure 119 x 61 x 10.4 mm and it weighs comes at 130 grams.
ZTE's VP and CTO said - "Their company has an excellent relationship with Google and this, combined with their extensive R&D capabilities and their experience of customising devices for partners around the world, means they are able to bring new technologies to market very quickly".
