GM detection technology development pedestrians for cars
Using phone while driving is dangerous. However, if pedestrians use the phone, it's a job no less dangerous. Those who walk while using phones that are normally observed very easily cause traffic accidents for them and other facilities. Understanding this, GM (General Motors) is studying a new technology that can detect pedestrians and warn the driver via a WiFi connection Direct. Accordingly, the cars will integrate this technology detects pedestrians in close and send warning signals to the driver. For example, when a person walks through the preparation, the system will warn the driver that are near their vehicle for them to concentrate more. According to GM, WiFi Direct allows about 7 to 8 devices connected to each other and the connection time is very quickly, within about 1 second only. Along with the technology, GM is planning to develop a device application can warn pedestrians when approaching other vehicles. This application can also be used for cyclists, construction workers or those who regularly participate in traffic. Source: Autoblog ...
